Organizational Assessments and Strategic Planning

Omnia History offers organizational assessment as a standalone service, as well as a package including both organizational assessment and strategic planning.

WHAT IS ORGANIZATIONAL ASSESSMENT?

Organizational assessment is a reflective process that brings together key stakeholders to evaluate an institution’s health, priorities, and overall impact. The assessment process can include the evaluation of an organization’s internal operations, some or all of its programs or initiatives, or its community outreach efforts, or it can include a soup-to-nuts organizational examination that includes all three of these elements. Omnia History designs and facilitates individualized assessment programs tailored to meet each organization’s unique circumstances and needs. Goals for an organizational assessment include:

Identifying how, and how well, an organization uses its time and resources to fulfill its mission

Identifying an organization’s strengths, weaknesses, and priorities

Facilitating conversations between the organization’s many stakeholders to determine how to best utilize and move forward with the data collected during the assessment process.

Identifying opportunities for organizational growth and change

ORGANIZATIONAL ASSESSMENT

STRATEGIC PLANNING

Organizational assessment provides a detailed overview of an organization’s operations and potential for growth and, as such, can be an important stepping-stone on the way to a strategic plan. Strategic plans identify how organizations intend to meet their missions over multiple years and provide guidance for those responsible for implementing the plan and measuring institutional progress.
